If anything comes up I will ask.Gorou Saruwatari and Jack "Lostman" Woodbridge are mountain climbers who have ascended some of the highest mountains around the world. So… I definitely had an older version of the u1m firmware and the symbols on the side3 sd card seemed to have cause a bunch of the issues I had.Īll is working again and seems rock solid(I haven’t really got a chance to work too much on it but it seems to work smoother than it ever did). I also made a fat32 partition with the same files and that works fine. Popped it in the side3 cart… it all works. Cleaned this up and split all the games by alphabet. Since I just dumped the games folder from one of the tosec archives, there were a lot of symbols in the names of the folders. So I took the sd card and started to really clean it up. Next I tried the sd card on the side3 loader.
I needed to do the side3 plug-in and the s3pbi but I ran that from my sio2sd and that ran fine. I had a heck of a time reading the numbers on the chip but was able to get it all flashed and popped it back in the computer and it was working. Ugh! Well, I was worried but a few years ago I got a Plcc socket to re-flash my side2 chip so I was hoping that would work for the u1m chip. Yikes! I tried to boot up the computer and it would boot to the help screen but never boot into the computer. It started the process and before it finished writing it crashed. I finally got it to load from the side3 loader. Had a heck of a time getting it to start.
Ok I went down and started the u1m update flash.
